• Chainsaws are used by many industries for a variety of uses
• Anyone operating a Chainsaw is required to be trained on the equipment
• Anyone operating a Chainsaw must use and maintain it in accordance with CAN/CSA Standard-Z62.1-03
• The ONLY way for your employees to achieve OHS compliance is by taking both theory and practical training

Course Description

Chainsaw Safety

Course Location: Resident and on-site

Maximum Class Size: 12 Students

Course Duration: 1 day - Classroom and Practical

This Chainsaw Safety Course will guide you through all aspects of Chainsaw Safety, from the division of responsibilities, to information about personal protective equipment plus operating procedures. Our comprehensive course will explain in detail what you need to know, emphasize key points and test your knowledge retention after each module. This course is required by many industries and you should check with your employer to see whether or not you need Chainsaw Safety Training.

By doing both theory and practical on-site training then shows the employer is doing their “Due Diligence” and they will comply with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

After completion of this course, you should be able to understand:

• How to operate an Chainsaw safely
• Individual Safety responsibilities of the owner, operator and manufacturer
• Potential hazards regarding the operation of Chainsaws
• What to do during the Pre-Operation Inspection

After successful completion of this course the student will be issued a certificate of completion.
